루싸이트 토끼 (Lucite Tokki) – Boys Don’t Cry [Hangeul, Romanization & Translation]

Boys Don’t Cry is a hidden track on Lucite Tokki’s first album, “Twinkle Twinkle.” I was going crazy trying to find the hangeul, made more difficult by the fact that lyric searches overwhelmingly find the 1980 song by The Cure… So, I asked SunYoung for the lyrics and she kindly provided them.

She says she wrote the song after watching the movie of the same name, starring the amazingly talented actress Hilary Swank (the movie was actually named for The Cure song). Knowing that, the song went from “terribly sad” to “horribly tragic”… Still, it’s a beautiful sad song, made even more remarkable by the fact that it’s the same song as the happy, up-tempo bossa nova 수요일 (“Wednesday, A.K.A. The Piano Lesson”), the first track on Twinkle Twinkle.

Lucite Tokki – Boys Don’t Cry

Hurry up let’s pack and move out
Don’t worry, I’ll be alright to drive
We’ll find a pretty spot to build a little house
We’re gonna be together

I’m sorry you and me look exactly the same
Don’t worry, I’m okay, it doesn’t hurt
Tomorrow morning somewhere in Memphis
We’re gonna be together
