(Time Difference) lyrics [Hangeul, Romanization & Translation]

This song gives me an impression of parallel universes: somewhere, our other self (or someone who plainly looks just like us) is living another kind of life. It feels familiar yet strange. Since the title of album that contains this song is “The Day At Strange City”, I think it might be one of those displaced senses in time and space 🙂

(Sicha/Time Difference)

Ji-geum-jjeum geu-dae-neun myeot si-reul sa-neun-ji

O-rae-man-e meok-neun a-chim-i

Ga-byeo-weo-jin na-eui ma-eum-i ggwae joh-a bo-yeo

Neu-geut-han teu-raem-eul ta-go-seo dal-li-myeon

Yeop ja-ri-eui ggo-ma a-i-do

Job-eun gol-mok-gil-eui mo-seub-do ggok geu-rim gat-a

A-jik-eun meol-gi man-han na-eui shi-gan-i

Jol-lin nun-eul bi-bi-ge hae-do

Seu-chyeo-ga-neun manh-eun geot-deul-eul da ggeul-eo-an-go

Ji-geum-jjeum geu-dae-nuen myeot-si-reul sa-neun-ji

O-raen-man-e meok-neun a-chim-i

Ga-byeo-weo-jin na-eui ma-eum-i ggwae joh-a bo-yeo

Ji-geum-jjeum geu-dae-ga myeot si-reul sal-deon-ji

Nu-gu-wa-do gat-ji anh-eu-ni

Nu-gu-ra-do da-reun geo-ni-gga keun geok-jeong mal-go

Translation

By now, you live for quite some time
The breakfast has been long gone
Feeling lighter, my heart feels good
When I ride the relaxing tram
The little kid next to me, also
The view of the narrow alleyway is just like a painting

Yet far enough from my time
My eyes become sleepy
I graze a lot of things and embrace everything

By now, you live for quite some time
The breakfast has been long gone
Feeling lighter, my heart feels good

By now, you have lived for quite some time
It’s not the same like everyone
Is there anyone else who does it? Don’t worry too much about it
