양희은 (Yang Hee Eun) – 세노야 (Senoya) lyrics [Hangeul, Romanization & Translation]

“Senoya” was released in 1971! Wow such a classic! 🙂 I also found out that Noel performed this song for their “Immortal Song” stage and Park Jun Hyung also includes it in her album “Gift”.  I think it might be the reason for this song to be back in demand 🙂 Yang Hee Eun has a serenading, almost opera-like vocal and the original “Senoya” is only accompanied with acoustic guitar 🙂

A note from Pop! Gasa: “Senoya” doesn’t have a specific meaning but is a saying that laborers use while working.

Translation

Senoya, senoya
We live in the mountains and the sea
To the mountains and the sea we go
Senoya, senoya
When things are happy, we give to the mountains
When things are sad, we give to you

Senoya, senoya
When things are happy, we give to the sea
When things are sad, I receive
Senoya, senoya
We live in the mountains and the sea
To the mountains and the sea we go
